ما المقصود بالكلمات Assure, Ensure, Insure ؟
إنّ كلمات طمأنت-Assure، تأكد-Ensure، وضمّن-Insure: هي أصوت متشابه ، لكن معانيهم مختلفة تمامًا. ولكن يحدث الالتباس الأكثر شيوعًا مع المصطلحات التالية:
- To assure a loved one/ لتطمئن من تحب.
- To assure a customer/ لطمأنة العميل.
- To ensure success/ لضمان النجاح.
- To ensure compliance/ لضمان الامتثال.
- To ensure freedom/ لضمان الحرية.
- To ensure job security/ لضمان الأمن الوظيفي.
- To insure a car/ لتأمين سيارة.
- To insure a phone/ لتأمين الهاتف.
طمأنة-Assure:
يشير فعل طمأنة-Assure: إلى معنى بثقة. يشير تأكيد الاسم إلى الإيمان بالقدرة- ability. على سبيل المثال:
- Do not worry about your difficulties in Mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater. – Albert Einstein/ لا تقلق بشأن صعوباتك في الرياضيات. يمكنني أن أطمئنكم أن ما أملكه لا يزال أكبر. “البرت اينشتاين”.

تأكد-Ensure:

يشير الفعل ضمّن-Insure إلى معنى إصدار بوليصة تأمين لتقديم تعويض في حالة السرقة أو الفقد أو التلف أو الوفاة. كما في الاقتباسات التالية:
